Hi! I’m Marie (she/they). I’m a photographer and newborn caregiver. I was born and raised in Northern California, now a Los Angeles based photographer. Currently servicing all of the Los Angeles and Southern California. I’ve been in professional childcare for 7 years, and professional photography for 9 years.
I was introduced to the camera at a young age, watching my dad take our family photos as a hobby. When I was a teenager I would spend a lot of time at the SFMOMA, as it was free for children under 18. One day, there was an exhibit about a photographer named Larry Sultan, his works had me in a trance, I spent hours studying. When I got my first job after some saving, I bought my first DSLR camera.
In 2018, I moved to Southern California to pursue my dreams behind the camera, with the amazing opportunity to be a photographer at Disneyland, projecting my passion professionally. At the same time, I loved watching children grow and learn, so I nannied and babysat to pay my bills. Both my passions grew into an intertwining career of perinatal photography.
I now also have a day job at a photography supply store, and I am currently training to be a Postpartum Doula.
I’m very content having a life that revolves around imaging and babies. Parenthood and portraits are my favorite subjects in the world and I only hope that grows and deepens its roots in my life.
I shoot on both digital and film in 35 and medium format, with a love for documentarian, photojournalistic style and using only natural and surrounding light.
My favorite feeling is giving someone a picture that they immediately connect to and can cherish forever.
For one couple, it was capturing the first photo of their son’s smile.
For some, it’s the first photo of themselves they actually like and feel beautiful in.
For one, it was the final family photo they had with their grandmother.
Knowing they’ll live with those photos on their wall or reminisce on it with a loved one. It means the universe.
Whatever the case, my goal is to capture reality and the beauty that I see in it.

I have two kittens named Moonie and Star.
