I’m a hybrid photographer, meaning I shoot both digital and analog film. I’ll usually show up to a session with at least 2 cameras, if not more.

Both mediums provide their unique gifts and challenges.

Digital is my sure fire way to make sure I get that special shot.

It’s predictable and controllable. I can check it in real time and waste as many shots as I want to get the one.

Whenever I’m working with kids, I often have to rapid fire.

Analog forces me to slow down.

Every shot matters, so I have to wait patiently for the right moment to snap. And the results are incomparable.

I often say, film is simply what memories look like.
